I am a multidisciplinary creative located in Des Moines, Iowa.

Design is in my DNA.

My authentic curiosity for creating comes from my explorations in designing a life that I love. These pursuits happen to translate through apparel design, product design and writing.

I am giddy over all things fashion, travel, home and crafts. You can fins a variety of these influences throughout my professional career.

My first creative outlet began at 5 years old when I was going through chemotherapy for A.L.L Luekemia. There was a “craft lady” that would come to room and bring me things to paint, draw and build. This quickly spiraled into building toys, crocheting, decking out my bedroom and even mapping my plans to create the next big Webkins, which I called Partypets.com (and shamelessly paid for the domain for years).

In high-school, I began channeling my creativity through apparel, sewing and blogging were my new favorite hobbies. This introduced me to a community of local creatives also on the search for an outlet in our small town. So I started Linn-Mar High Schools first fashion magazine, Identity Magazine.

Following this path, I went on to majored in Apparel Merchandising and Design with a minor in Journalism at Iowa State University. I immediately joined Trend Magazine and worked various director positions before becoming Editor-In-Chief of Issue 26 and 27. In the same year, my senior collection won Best In Show at the Iowa State Fashion Show and Omaha Fashion Week.

Post-graduation, I dove into the world of entrepreneurship. I joined as Co-Founder of an apparel manufacturing tech startup called, Dhakai. After two years, I joined leading global forecaster, WGSN as a Trend Specialist. In the past year, I have managed my own apparel design, manufacturing and consulting company called Sourced Thread.

Other things you should know about me? When I am not busy making a new craft my whole personality, I am renovating corners of my house, spending time in nature and hanging out with my cat, Rocky.
